E. q. ordene a los Com^tes de las Division^s q. en dha retirada, no se cause daño alguno en las propiedades de los habitantes de este Pais, esperando q. esta disposicion sea puntualmente ejecutada.

FIELD ORDERS

Your Excellency:

As I have resolved beforehand in [my] letter of this same date, for Your Excellency to retreat the troops through Bejar and Victoria, I do hereby entreat Your Excellency to order the Division Commanders not [to allow the troops] to cause any damage to the property of the residents of this country while on said retreat. I expect this order to be executed as directed.
