1. The lease for the Washington Guards,
the forerunner of the Washington Artillery has been recently discovered
in the Orleans Parish Notarial Archives by the author. The lease started
on 1 November 1835, ten days after the Greys left New Orleans for Texas.
Any assertion that the Greys received equipment from this company out of
