Ugartichea to Chief of Brasos[translation]
Ugartichea orders the arrest of Zavala, Travis and other political enemies.
Principal Comandancy of the State of Coahuila & Texas By Express I just received the annexed letter for you, directed by the Comandant general,and at the same time he sent me an abstract of the Contents for my information.Whereas by said Official letter you are charged to use exertions for the apprehension of Traves Barret, and when accomplished, to be sent to this City, where he will be judged; I recommend you on my part most urgently that you will be pleased to give full execution to this Charge, as I have likewise done before about Lorenzo Zavala and other Strangers which was the purport of my official letter of the 4th Instant — G & L.
